Overview
A pet owner with mixed floors gets a Dyson cordless that senses floor type and debris load and adjusts power to match. Two heads cover carpets and hard floors, and a compacting bin presses dust down then wipes clean when emptied.
Hygienic emptying and automatic power control stand out: the bin squeezes debris and empties without hair left behind. The weight is noticeable during long handheld use, and full power drains the battery faster.
Who it's for
Households with shedding pets and long hair across several floor types. People wanting a very light stick for quick touch ups may prefer a smaller model.
Pros and cons
- Very high suction
- Auto adjusts to floor and debris
- Compacting bin holds more
- Two cleaner heads included
- Heavier than lighter sticks
- Peak runtime only in Eco
- App needed for some features
Performance notes
Cleaning power adapts in real time: the Sense head reads floor type and sets brush speed, while the cyclones raise suction when debris volume rises. The bin compresses dust so it fills more slowly, and sealed filtration traps fine particles.
