Overview
Not a standard black slab, this Samsung The Frame shows curated art or your own photos on a matte QLED screen when you are not watching. Switched on, it plays ultra HD content at a faster refresh rate for smoother sports and games.
Decor and a faster panel come together in one screen, so the living room gets art by day and smooth motion at night. The frame bezels are not in the box, and Art Mode depends on a Samsung account.
Who it's for
Couples and families who watch sports and host guests in a styled room will appreciate both modes. People who refuse online accounts on their TV lose Art Mode, the main feature.
Pros and cons
- Faster refresh panel
- Art Mode for wall decor
- Matte anti reflection screen
- Four HDMI inputs
- Bezels sold separately
- Art Mode needs account and internet
- Wall mount not listed in bundle
- Heavier than the smaller Frame
Performance notes
The faster refresh rate reduces blur in sports and console games, helped by Motion Xcelerator. The matte finish limits glare so art looks printed, while QLED holds color saturated in bright rooms. Height channels in the speaker layout add vertical sound for Dolby Atmos content without a soundbar.
