Overview
Garvee supplies this engine hoist as a collapsible cherry picker with an adjustable boom and a load leveler. Swivel casters roll the frame around the shop, and the folding design cuts down the floor space it takes up between jobs.
A full two ton rating in a collapsible frame is the reason to look at it, and the leveler helps angle an engine as it goes back in. The listing is thin: it gives no bullets, no warranty and no lift height, so check the reach against the vehicle before relying on it.
Who it's for
A garage mechanic pulling or setting an engine or transmission, then putting the crane away afterward, gets the most from the folding frame. Buyers who need seller-stated lift height, hydraulic details or warranty terms should choose a listing that spells them out.
Pros and cons
- Two ton rated capacity
- Adjustable boom length
- Folds down for storage
- Load leveler for angling engines
- Lift height not listed
- Seller gives no feature bullets
- Heavy frame to move around
- Warranty terms absent
Performance notes
Reach comes from the adjustable boom, and the leveler tilts the load so an engine can be lined up with its mounts. The swivel casters let the frame turn in place on a smooth floor. The listing gives one capacity figure and no reduced rating for the extended boom, so ask the seller before loading it at full reach.
