Overview
Not a hi-fi component, the Crosley Cruiser Plus is a polka-dot suitcase record player that plays, streams and travels in one box. Bluetooth sends records to wireless speakers or plays phone music through its own speakers, and RCA and headphone outputs cover wired listening.
Buy it for a fun, portable all-in-one that handles three record speeds and doubles as a Bluetooth speaker. The cartridge and stylus are unnamed, and the built-in speakers are small.
Who it's for
Made for bedrooms, dorms and parties where looks and portability matter. Audiophiles and owners of rare pressings should consider a turntable with a known cartridge.
Pros and cons
- Eye-catching polka-dot finish
- Three record speeds
- Bluetooth in and out
- Pitch control and cueing lever
- Cartridge not identified
- Small built-in speakers
- Box list names a different model
Performance notes
Belt drive reduces motor vibration reaching the stylus, and pitch control trims speed if records play off. The built-in speakers set the volume ceiling, so the RCA output to a stereo gives fuller sound.
