Overview
HP builds this Chromebook around Chrome OS and an Intel Celeron chip for light schoolwork, browsing and streaming. A seller-added SD card doubles the storage, and a USB-C hub in the box adds ports.
Worth it as a short-term school or travel laptop that boots fast and runs Google apps. The listed update expiration is close, so it will stop receiving new features and security fixes before long.
Who it's for
Made for school-age students, online classes and casual home use with Google apps. Buyers who want long-term support or more memory should look at a newer Chromebook.
Pros and cons
- Fast startup on Chrome OS
- Long claimed battery life
- Light and slim
- Hub adds HDMI and card reader
- Updates end June 2027
- Basic dual-core processor
- Older Wi-Fi 5 standard
Performance notes
Chrome OS stays light, so the dual-core Celeron feels responsive for browsing and documents until many tabs fill the small memory. Fast charging restores half the battery in under an hour, and the efficient chip stretches runtime.
