Best OverallA complete size 02 pour over starter set with a glass server and 40 filters included, aimed squarely at newcomers to manual brewing.
A stainless pour over dripper for people who like to tune brew speed, including a full stop for steeping. Capacity and filter size are not listed, so check filters before ordering.
A clever manual brewer for coffee fans who want even extractions without a gooseneck kettle, and it packs well for travel. It makes one modest cup at a time.
A well-made metal-filter pour over that produces a cleaner cup than paper for most reviewers, but handle the filter gently when washing it.
Popular Pick
Campers and hikers who want filter coffee without power get a simple, all metal brewer here. The kit has no way to heat water, so a stove or kettle is still needed.
A well-made, durable pour-over cone that performs about like other quality drippers - buy it for longevity and feel, not for a dramatically different cup.
A well-made, affordable way into pour-over coffee for one or two people, provided you're comfortable with a metal filter's texture and glass that needs gentle handling.
A glass manual pour-over coffeemaker in the well-known Chemex Classic shape, though there is no buyer feedback yet on this specific listing to speak to consistency or durability.
A cheap, durable entry point into manual pour-over brewing that has stayed popular for years because the cone design itself hasn't needed to change.
A dependable, affordable single-cup pour-over dripper that holds up to daily use better than most glass or ceramic alternatives.
A durable, repeatable pour over dripper once your grind size is dialed in, though it locks you into Kalita's pricier wave filters.
The Chemex 3-Cup rewards a slow-coffee morning with clean, sediment-free cups, but budget for filters separately and expect the glass to need eventual replacing.
This is a well-made two-in-one brewer for comparing immersion and drip technique, though check the size 02 against existing V60 gear first.
A well-regarded manual dripper that rewards a bit of pouring technique with a cup of coffee you control start to finish.
A compact, packable pour-over dripper that reviewers rate highly for travel use once you know to pre-wet the filter, though the initial rubbery smell is a minor early hurdle rather than a lasting problem.
A well regarded entry into ceramic pour over brewing, provided you're willing to dial in grind and pour speed rather than expecting an appliance-like result.
A well specified flat-bottom pour over dripper built for consistent extraction, suited to buyers ready to source Kalita's dedicated wave filters.
A worthwhile second dripper for V60 users chasing a stronger cup, though it rewards a dialed-in grind more than the standard model does.
A dependable manual brewer once you're used to the process, best purchased a size up from what you'd first guess given the small cup measurement.
Recommended for buyers ready to commit to flannel filter upkeep in exchange for a cup several long-term owners describe as smoother than their paper-filter alternatives.

These 3 pour over coffee makers are the most searched brands and models among the established products in this category (monthly searches for each brand and model); on a tie, the one with more owner ratings ranks first. Product data comes from public Amazon listings (updated 15 days ago). We do not test products ourselves.
Hario, Kalita, Chemex, Bodum, Melitta lead this category among the 18 brands that passed our curation checks.
A listing appears only when it has a recorded price, a minimum customer rating, and enough ratings or monthly sales. Generic and unbranded listings are left out, while every real brand stays, including brands sold only on Amazon. The ones that pass are ordered by how many people search for that brand and model each month; review counts only break ties.
Pour over coffee makers come as drippers that sit on a separate mug or server, sets with a matching carafe, and brewers with the dripper built into the serving vessel. A separate dripper lets you brew into different compatible vessels; an integrated design ties brewing and serving to the same container. Start by deciding whether you want to brew directly into your drinking mug or make a batch to share.
Choose capacity around your usual serving volume, measured against the mugs you actually fill, because a stated cup capacity may use smaller servings. For a shared pot, look for the recommended coffee dose for your intended batch. For a single mug, check that the brewer supports a suitably small dose: a large vessel does not tell you how well its dripper handles a shallow bed of grounds. Check the receiving vessel's usable capacity against your intended batch size, and follow the brewer's filling guidance to avoid overflowing the dripper.
The pouring routine matters if you want coffee while doing something else. Establish whether you must heat and pour the water yourself or whether the brewer performs those steps; the Pour Over and Drip Coffee Machine values do not tell you the complete operating sequence. For manual brewing, compare the maker's pouring directions with the control your kettle offers, particularly if they call for a slow, narrow stream. Filter fit is another purchase decision: the Reusable and Paper values are starting points, so find the specified filter shape and size and whether it is supplied or sold separately. A filter that folds badly or sits incorrectly can interfere with drainage.
Before buying a separate dripper, compare its base dimensions and outlet position with your mug or server opening. The Stainless Steel, Glass and Plastic values need closer reading to identify whether they describe the dripper, carafe, filter or another component. For upkeep, look for cleaning instructions for each part, including whether dishwasher use is permitted and whether any filter assembly comes apart to remove trapped grounds. For sets with a dedicated carafe, confirm that replacement carafes and any model-specific lids or seals are available separately.
