Overview
Not a single rider slider, this wood toboggan seats a small group on a long bed of maple, with a steam bent hood fastened by countersunk zinc plated screws. A tow rope and runner handles are part of the design.
The long body suits a parent and child or a few friends, and a gloss finish protects the wood outdoors. Bumps are not cushioned unless the separately sold pad is added.
Who it's for
Parents with kids and groups of friends heading to a snowy hill will use the length. Solo sledders and anyone wanting steering or a cushioned seat out of the box need another design.
Pros and cons
- Carries up to three riders
- Maple wood construction
- Tow rope included
- Pad sold separately
- Wood needs dry storage
- Warranty handled by the seller
Performance notes
A long hardwood bed spreads rider weight over snow and the steam bent hood lifts the front over bumps. Screws secured in countersunk holes allow easy repair. A smooth finish lets it glide, and dry storage preserves the wood between seasons.
