Overview
ERA Group builds the Streamridge Grizzly from Ontario ash hardwood, bent into shape by steam. A thick plaid pad made of waterproof polyester covers the top for a smoother ride.
The traditional wood build gives it a classic look. The pad adds comfort and a rustic color. The listing gives no weight limit and does not mention a pull rope.
Who it's for
A child on gentle snowy hills whose family likes a classic wooden sled. Parents who need a rated weight limit, or who want a plastic sled that needs no care, should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Steam bent Ontario ash
- Thick padded seat
- Waterproof pad fabric
- No weight limit listed
- Wood needs care
- Rope not mentioned
Performance notes
Steam bent hardwood gives the runners a smooth curve that slides over snow, and ash is a hardwood. The padded top adds comfort. Waxing or drying wood after use is up to the owner.
