Overview
Mr. Sketch's Scented Stix set brings the brand's fruit and food scents into a slim, fine-tip marker built for kids' coloring and craft work. The 10-count pack covers ten distinct scents, each tied to its own color.
The scent pairing is the whole point of this line, and the fine tip is a departure from Mr. Sketch's better-known chisel-tip markers, making this set better suited to detail work and lettering than broad coloring fills. AP certification for ages 3 and up is worth noting for parents choosing markers for younger kids.
- 10 scented markers included
- Fine tip design
- AP certified, safe for ages 3+
- Scents include watermelon, cherry, and grape
Who it's for
Suited to kids and classrooms doing coloring, journaling, or craft projects where a fine line and a fun scent add to the experience. Not the choice for anyone who wants the classic Mr. Sketch chisel tip or bold, wide strokes.
Pros and cons
- Ten distinct scents matched to ten colors
- Fine tip suited to detail and lettering
- AP certified for ages 3 and up
- Fine tip is not ideal for filling large areas
- Scent intensity fades with use over time
Performance notes
The fine tip trades the ink laydown speed of a chisel tip for control on smaller shapes and lettering, a tradeoff to expect versus other Mr. Sketch products. Scent strength fading with page exposure and marker age is a known trait of scented markers generally, not something called out specifically in this listing.
