Overview
A backyard hill with fresh snow is where this foam sled from the makers of the original Flexible Flyer gets used. Graphics decorate a lightweight foam core, and handles at the sides give the rider a place to hold on.
Foam makes this sled easy for a child to carry and drag uphill between runs, and the slick bottom is built for quick slides. The weight figure in the spec table and the one in the seller copy do not agree.
Who it's for
Kids and adults from the recommended age up who want a simple slider for a local hill. Anyone planning to share the ride with a second person needs a two-rider model instead.
Pros and cons
- Lightweight foam core
- Handles for gripping
- Slick bottom for quick runs
- Suits a wide range of riders
- Weight listed two different ways
- Single rider only
- Foam body, not a hard-shell sled
Performance notes
The slick plastic bottom lets the foam core glide over packed snow, and the low profile holds the rider close to the surface. Speed comes from slope and snow condition, since there is no steering mechanism in the listing.
