Overview
Slippery Racer builds this Downhill Xtreme toboggan with a sleek, aerodynamic shape and a flexible plastic body. The maker coats it with its IceVex cold-resistant treatment and adds handles and a pull rope.
The reason to buy is a flexible sled said to bend without cracking, with room for two riders and a rope for the walk back up. The limit is the marketing wording, since the listing gives no test data for the flexibility claims.
Who it's for
Households with two riders, or a parent and child, sliding on open snowy slopes. Anyone who wants steering, brakes or a rigid structure should look at a different type of sled.
Pros and cons
- Fits two riders
- Pull rope and handles
- Light to carry
- Color shown two ways
- Flexibility claims lack test detail
- No steering or braking
Performance notes
The long, smooth plastic body slides with low friction, and its flex lets it follow the surface of the snow instead of cracking on bumps. The cold-resistant coating is meant to stop the plastic stiffening in freezing weather. Rider weight and snow condition decide speed.
