Overview
The Klein 66342 is a 9 inch punch from Klein Tools, weighing 5.6 ounces with a brushed finish.
Klein Tools built its name on the kind of hand tools that show up in electrician and trade toolboxes, and a punch this specific length is meant for driving pins or marking metal precisely rather than general demolition work. The brushed finish points to a tool meant to resist corrosion in a shop environment. The listing also carries a separate 8 x 8 x 8 inch figure, almost certainly the shipping box rather than the punch itself, so that number is left out below.
- Klein Tools brand, model 66342
- 9 inch overall size
- 5.6 ounce weight, brushed finish
Who it's for
Fits tradespeople and DIYers who need a dedicated punch for driving out pins, starting holes or marking layout lines, and want a 9 inch tool light enough at 5.6 ounces to control with precision. Not the pick for someone who needs a full punch and chisel set, since this listing is a single tool.
Pros and cons
- 9 inch length suited to precision punch work
- Light at 5.6 ounces for one handed control
- Brushed finish from an established trade tool brand
- Material listed only as a general blend
- Single tool, not a punch set
Performance notes
At 5.6 ounces and 9 inches overall, this punch is light enough for one handed control on precision work like starting pilot holes or driving out pins, and the brushed finish is typical of tools meant to shrug off shop handling. The material is listed only as a blend, so the exact alloy is not specified.
