Overview
A truck cab, a garage shelf or a car door pocket can all hold this Slime pencil gauge for routine pressure checks. Its dual head presses onto the tire valve and the reading appears on the pencil style scale that slides out of the silver barrel.
A wide reading range lets one gauge serve several vehicles in the household. Beyond that the listing says little, and it is unclear whether the valve extensions named in the title ship in the box, since the components field lists the gauge alone.
Who it's for
Drivers who want a no frills gauge in the door pocket for routine checks are served here. Shoppers who need an inflator or a lit display should look elsewhere.
Pros and cons
- Wide reading range on one gauge
- Dual head chuck
- Valve extensions named in the title
- One year warranty
- Scale increments not listed
- Extensions missing from components field
- Checks pressure only, no inflation
- Listed weight figure looks wrong
Performance notes
Tire pressure pushes the scale out of the barrel, so the result depends on pressing the head squarely onto the valve for a clean seal. The dual head offers a second angle of approach for valves that are awkward to reach.
