A stainless colander with holes punched across the whole bowl, so water runs out of pasta and vegetables quickly. The hole size is not stated, so very fine grains are a gamble.

Overview
Draining pasta, rinsing produce and washing berries all happen in this pierced stainless steel bowl. Hundreds of punched holes cover the body, and its handles help with lifting a full load out of the sink.
With holes spread over the bowl instead of a few rows, water leaves fast and food is not left standing in it. The listing never gives the hole size, so cooks who rinse quinoa or rice should test it before relying on it.
Who it's for
Everyday pasta and vegetable cooking is where it earns its place, and it goes in the dishwasher afterward. Those rinsing tiny seeds and grains will be better served by a fine mesh strainer.
Pros and cons
- Hundreds of holes drain quickly
- Durable stainless steel construction
- Dishwasher safe cleanup
- Hole size not listed
- Handles widen the footprint in narrow sinks
Performance notes
Drain speed comes down to open area: many holes across the bowl give water more ways out at once. Whether small grains stay in depends on hole diameter, which the listing does not give.
