Overview
Barska's CO10864 keeps weight down to 0.6 lb, built around a 50mm objective lens and manual focus for casual spotting use.
At 50mm the objective is smaller than typical full size spotting scopes, positioning this as an entry level or travel oriented option rather than a scope built for maximum light gathering at long range.
- 50mm objective lens
- 150 ft field of view
- Manual focus
- 0.6 lb weight
Who it's for
Buyers who want a lightweight, budget friendly spotting scope for casual birdwatching or target viewing rather than serious long range optics work.
Pros and cons
- Very light at 0.6 lb, easy to carry
- Compact body for travel or casual use
- Smaller 50mm objective limits low light performance versus larger scopes
- Rated 3.8 out of 5, on the lower end for this category
Performance notes
The smaller 50mm objective and 150 foot field of view point to a scope built for portability over maximum brightness or reach, a common tradeoff at this weight and price class.
