Overview
Propane is the only spec given for the Bayou Classic 700-701, a banjo-style outdoor cooker from a brand known for pot-based propane burners.
Outdoor cookers like this are built to sit under a pot rather than a grate, so their job is raw heat output for boiling or frying rather than direct grilling. Bayou Classic's cooker line is a long-running one, and the 700-701 model number fits that lineup, though this listing doesn't include the burner rating.
- Propane fuel type
- Bayou Classic 700-701 model
- Banjo-style outdoor cooker
Who it's for
Fits buyers who already own or are buying a large pot for frying, boiling or steaming outdoors and need a propane burner base to set it on. Not a fit for anyone wanting a grill grate to cook directly on, since this is a burner, not a grill.
Pros and cons
- Propane fueled for portable outdoor use
- From a brand focused on pot-based cookers
- 4.6 rating from 1,500+ buyers
- No BTU rating listed
- No dimensions or weight given
Performance notes
As a banjo-style burner, output depends on the jet and regulator Bayou Classic ships with the 700-701, which isn't broken out in this listing, so buyers relying on a specific BTU figure should confirm it directly.
