Overview
A 7 pound bag of Fresh Step's non-clumping cat litter, made from lightweight granules and scented with Febreze Freshness for extra odor control. Designed as a budget-friendly, easy to carry option rather than a scoopable clumping formula.
Non-clumping litter works on a different cycle than clay clumping litter: instead of scooping soiled clumps daily, you change out the whole box on a schedule. The Febreze scent is layered on top of the absorbent granules to fight ammonia smell between changes, not to replace regular cleaning.
- 7 lb bag of granule, non-clumping cat litter
- Febreze Freshness scent for odor control
- Lightweight formula for easier handling
- Made by Clorox under the Fresh Step brand
Who it's for
Suits owners who want a lightweight bag to carry and don't mind a full litter box change rather than daily scooping. Also fits anyone who wants a scented layer to control odor between full changes. Not the choice for owners used to scooping clumps out daily.
Pros and cons
- Lightweight bag, easier to carry and pour
- Febreze Freshness scent helps mask litter box odor
- Simple granule formula with no clumping mess to scoop
- Non-clumping, so no daily spot scooping
- 7 lb bag is a small size for multi-cat homes
- Full box changes needed rather than partial refills
Performance notes
The granule formula is built to absorb moisture and trap odor across the box, with Febreze Freshness scent added to control smell between full changes. Because it does not clump, there is no way to scoop out individual soiled spots, so odor control depends on how often the whole box is replaced.
