Overview
Not a solvent-based filler, this FamoWood latex wood filler is made to match the benefits and handling of the original solvent product while avoiding fumes. It comes as a natural-colored pint from Eclectic Products.
The reason to buy is the fume-free latex formula for people working indoors or avoiding solvent smell. The limitation is the thin data: no drying time, sanding or stain details are given, and the included components field is confused.
Who it's for
Home repairers and woodworkers filling defects in rooms with limited ventilation who want a latex product. Buyers wanting documented drying and stain details, or a warranty, will need to check the label or maker.
Pros and cons
- Latex, no solvent fumes
- Handles like the solvent version
- Made in the USA
- Dry time not listed
- Stain compatibility not listed
- Warranty stated as none
- Included items confused
Performance notes
A latex filler dries by water leaving the patch, so the fumes and cleanup differ from the solvent type. The listing gives no cure or sanding data, so real working times depend on patch depth and conditions.
