Overview
Reading inside and outside conditions on one LCD, this AcuRite unit pairs a tabletop display with a wireless sensor for the yard. The screen shows a trend arrow and daily high and low values, and the sensor has a hanger and a low battery light.
One screen covers both inside and outside conditions, and the trend arrow shows where the weather is heading. Bluetooth appears in the specs without any app, and the sensor battery type is not given.
Who it's for
Home gardeners checking frost risk or humidity benefit from the outdoor sensor and the high and low records. Users who want smartphone logging should check for a model that documents it.
Pros and cons
- Indoor and outdoor readings together
- Trend arrow and daily records
- Low battery indicator on the sensor
- Plastic unit wipes clean
- Bluetooth listed but no app described
- Sensor battery type not listed
- Upper limit of the range is modest
Performance notes
The outdoor sensor measures temperature and humidity and transmits to the display over a wireless link, so reading quality depends on where the sensor is placed and how clear the path is. Shade and airflow near the sensor give truer readings than a spot in direct sun.
