Overview
Not a generic cartridge, the ULTRAWF is Frigidaire's own filter for refrigerators with the PureSource Ultra system. A carbon block reduces chlorine taste plus lead, mercury and pesticides, and it pushes in until it clicks.
Genuine fit and broad certification are the reasons to buy the branded part. The listing omits rated gallon capacity and flow rate.
Who it's for
Frigidaire owners replacing the original filter on schedule are the audience. Fridges using other filter systems need a different part.
Pros and cons
- Genuine Frigidaire part
- Health and taste certifications
- Push in, click to lock
- Reduces lead and mercury
- Rated gallon capacity not listed
- Reminder light needs manual reset
Performance notes
Carbon block traps contaminants as water passes through, and filtering slows as the block loads up. Priming flushes air and loose carbon fines, which can otherwise cloud the first glasses.
