Overview
Sliding this Frigidaire PureSource filter into its housing until it clicks replaces the old cartridge in a few seconds. A carbon block reduces chlorine taste plus lead, mercury and other contaminants for water and ice.
Genuine fit for specific Frigidaire fridges with health level certification is the reason to choose it. Capacity in gallons and filter life are not listed.
Who it's for
Owners replacing the genuine filter in a matching Frigidaire fridge are the audience. Anyone guessing fit from the photo risks the wrong cartridge.
Pros and cons
- Genuine Frigidaire filter
- Lead and mercury reduction
- Tool free install
- Certified to NSF standards
- Compatibility list looks inconsistent
- Gallon capacity not listed
Performance notes
Water passes through the carbon block, where contaminants bind to the carbon surface. Flow and reduction drop as the block saturates, which is why the fridge reminder prompts replacement.
