More from this brandAll Trijicon rifle scopesOverview
The Trijicon ACOG TA31H-G is a 4x32 fixed-power riflescope with a battery-free tritium and fiber optic illuminated green horseshoe dot reticle, calibrated for 5.56/.223 out to 800 meters.
Illumination here needs no battery, drawing on tritium plus fiber optic light gathering that adjusts brightness automatically with ambient light, a detail that matters in the field where battery failure is not an option.
- 4x32 fixed magnification, green horseshoe dot reticle
- Battery-free tritium and fiber optic illumination
- Forged 7075-T6 aircraft-aluminum housing
- Bullet drop compensation calibrated to 800m for 5.56/.223
Who it's for
Fits AR-platform shooters who want a rugged, battery-free illuminated optic for engagements out to roughly 150 yards and beyond using bullet drop compensation. Less suited to anyone who needs precision well past that range or wants a reticle with fewer reference marks, since one reviewer found the hash marks busy.
Pros and cons
- Battery-free illumination adjusts automatically to light conditions
- Rugged 7075-T6 aluminum housing holds up to hard use
- Bullet drop compensating reticle ranges to 800 meters

- Reticle's hash marks feel busy to at least one reviewer
- High price point relative to expectations for some buyers
- Counterfeits circulate, so authenticity should be confirmed by serial number
