Overview
The Frabill 1272 is a bait trap built for crawfish, made from a blended material and weighing about 16 ounces. The listing counts two pieces.
Trust the title over the category label here: this is a trap for catching bait, not a general fishing accessory. It is built and marketed specifically around crawfish rather than minnows, so anglers targeting other baitfish should look at a trap suited to that species.
- 16 oz (about 1 lb) weight
- Targets crawfish specifically
- Blended trap material
- Two pieces per listing
Who it's for
Suits anglers who catch their own crawfish for bait rather than buying it. Not the right pick for anyone targeting minnows or other baitfish species.
Pros and cons
- Purpose-built for crawfish rather than a general baitfish trap
- Light at about 16 oz for carrying to the water
- Not designed for minnows or other baitfish species
Performance notes
At about 16 ounces it is light enough to carry to a creek or pond edge and set by hand. Its design is targeted specifically at crawfish rather than general baitfish, so results depend on placement in water crawfish actually inhabit.
