Overview
A shooting bench at the target range or a table at a bird feeder is where this scope works comfortably. Multicoated glass and a Porro prism pass light through a zoom eyepiece, with a center focus knob.
Reason to buy is a low-weight zoom scope that comes with a folding mini tripod and a case.
Who it's for
A hobbyist watching feeders, ponds or targets from a fixed spot gets the most from the zoom range and the carry case. Serious birders, hunters on a glassing trip or anyone who needs a waterproof body should look at larger scopes.
Pros and cons
- Light and compact
- Mini tripod included
- Soft case included
- Fully coated optics
- Table-top mini tripod only
- Waterproof rating not listed
- Eye relief not listed
- Modest objective size
Performance notes
Coated glass and the Porro prism path carry light to the eyepiece, so contrast holds through the zoom range. At the top of the zoom range, small movements are magnified, so a steady support matters. The center focus knob adjusts both eyepiece paths together.
