Overview
On the front left corner of a car or truck, this single Excel-G strut replaces a worn unit. It is made on KYB's original equipment assembly lines with a gas-charged twin-tube build.
A listed extended length helps you compare against the old strut, which is not always given for struts. The OEM cross references identify the vehicle, though no names appear.
Who it's for
Drivers replacing a single failed left strut can match the number and length. Those fixing both sides need the matching right strut as a separate purchase.
Pros and cons
- Extended length listed
- Calibrated to original behavior
- Lifetime limited warranty
- Gas-charged twin-tube design
- Vehicle names not listed
- Front left only
- Warranty needs original receipt
Performance notes
The twin-tube body with gas pressure controls wheel motion over bumps. Calibration to original valving means ride height and feel are meant to return to stock.
