Overview

The Honest Kitchen's Wholemade base mix is a dehydrated, grain free carton of fruits and vegetables meant to be combined with a protein the owner adds separately, rather than a complete kibble poured straight into the bowl.

This add-your-own-protein approach sets it apart from a finished food: the owner chooses which meat to include, which suits dogs with specific meat sensitivities or households doing home-cooked style meals. Human-grade ingredients and production standards are stated directly on the label, and the mix is preservative free.

Who it's for

Owners assembling home-cooked style meals who want a human-grade, preservative-free base and control over the protein source. It is not for anyone wanting a bag they can pour straight into the bowl, since a protein still has to be sourced and added.
