Overview
A dry kibble formulated specifically for senior cats, built around real chicken as the named protein and sold in a 16 pound bag. IAMS positions it around bone, heart and immune support rather than as a general all-life-stages food.
The senior-specific formulation is the headline feature: added nutrients and a texture aimed at dental health for older cats, a genuine differentiator from a standard adult formula. It ranks inside the top 100 dry cat foods on Amazon, reflecting steady repeat purchase volume.
- 16 pound bag
- Chicken recipe
- Senior-specific formula
- Dental health texture
Who it's for
Suits owners of older cats who want a formula tailored to aging-related needs like bone, heart and dental support. Not the right pick for kittens or younger adults since it's formulated for the senior life stage specifically.
Pros and cons
- Formulated specifically for senior cats
- Real chicken as a named ingredient
- 16lb bag suits multi-cat or long-term feeding
- Added nutrients for bone and heart health
- Not suitable for kittens or younger adult cats
- Large bag size may go stale before a single senior cat finishes it
Performance notes
Dry kibble with a texture designed for dental health works through the mechanical action of chewing, and the chicken-first recipe supports the protein content senior cats need to maintain muscle mass.
