Overview
An on-camera video encoder does the processing inside this Logitech business webcam, freeing the computer and smoothing the stream. A wide lens with pan, tilt and digital zoom frames whiteboards and groups.
The wide view fits whiteboards and small groups, and on-camera encoding helps on older or busy computers. Sync software lets IT teams keep devices updated. It ships without the retail webcam software, so home users get fewer extras.
Who it's for
Businesses running video meetings and managing devices centrally get a camera built for that job. Hobby streamers wanting consumer apps should look at a retail model.
Pros and cons
- Wide field of view
- On-camera video encoding
- Pan, tilt and zoom control
- Business conferencing certified
- No retail software included
- Business packaging only
- Older call app certifications
Performance notes
Smoothness comes from the camera encoding video itself, which lowers the load and bandwidth on the computer. The wide lens captures more of the room, with digital zoom cropping in as needed. Autofocus holds faces and documents sharp at varying distances.
