Overview
Learning Tex-Mex, norteno or zydeco on a button box starts easily with the Hohner Panther, a three row diatonic with a light bass wood body. It ships with adjustable straps and a Hohner method book.
Light weight and a starter method book make it friendly for new players. The listing never names the key set, and it disagrees on whether a bag is included.
Who it's for
Students starting conjunto, zydeco or Irish tunes will find it light and approachable. Band players who need particular keys should confirm the tuning first.
Pros and cons
- Light for an accordion

- Double strap brackets
- Suits many folk styles
- Keys not listed
- Bag inclusion conflicts
- Warranty not stated
Performance notes
Each button gives one note on the push and another on the pull, so the bellows direction shapes the melody. Twelve bass buttons cover the accompaniment chords. The light body reduces strain during long sessions.
