Overview
This 6 foot wooden canoe from Old Modern Handicrafts uses a cedar and hardwood hull with visible ribs, sized at 70.5 x 20.2 x 15 inches, a scaled down version of the brand's larger display canoes.
At just under six feet, this sits somewhere between a tabletop model and a full canoe, small enough for a mantel, shelf or entryway rather than a full room centerpiece. The cedar and hardwood combination is the one material detail the listing gives, and it is the main reason to pick this over a painted or laminate alternative.
- 70.5L x 20.2W x 15H inches
- Cedar and hardwood hull construction
- Ribbed hull with visible rib detailing
Who it's for
Suits someone wanting a smaller nautical accent piece for a shelf, mantel or entryway rather than a full size room feature. Not the pick for anyone who wants the larger, more imposing 12 foot version or an actual paddling boat.
Pros and cons
- Cedar and hardwood hull is a specific material
- Ribbed construction gives it an authentic canoe shape
- Compact 70.5 inch length suits a shelf or mantel
- 3.4 average is on the low side
- No capacity or hardware specs for any water use
Performance notes
The ribbed hull and cedar and hardwood build are the listing's only material specifics, and at 70.5 inches long it needs a shelf, mantel or stand rather than floor space.
