Overview
Cut lengthwise as a half-hull, this 9-foot wall display piece from Old Modern Handicrafts is built to mount flat against a wall rather than float on water. At 107 x 12.4 x 15.4 inches it needs a wide, mostly open wall in a cabin, lodge or nautical-themed room.
The half-hull shape and glossy wood-tone finish mark this as a wall trophy piece, the nautical equivalent of a mounted ship's wheel, not a functional canoe. Being cut lengthwise means it needs a long, mostly unbroken wall run at 9 feet rather than a shelf or corner.
- 107 x 12.4 x 15.4 inch dimensions
- Half-hull wall-mount design
- Glossy wood-tone finish
- 9-foot display length
Who it's for
Buyers with a long open wall in a cabin, lodge or boathouse-style room who want a real wood nautical display piece. Not a fit for anyone wanting a paddleable canoe or a piece for a tight, cluttered wall.
Pros and cons
- Full 9-foot length makes a real wall statement piece
- Glossy finish shows off wood grain
- Needs roughly 9 feet of open wall, not for small rooms
- Decorative only, no rating or review data yet
Performance notes
Cut as a half-hull rather than a full canoe, this piece is built to sit flush against a wall, which is why its depth of 12.4 inches is far smaller than its length. The glossy surface and wood-tone finish are cosmetic choices for a lodge or nautical look rather than functional boat features.
