Overview
SureGuard's queen protector is a fitted, waterproof cover with a cotton terry top and a stretchable skirt sized for mattresses 6 to 20 inches deep. It is built around lab-tested, GreenGuard Gold certified materials rather than vinyl or PVC.
Where many protectors lean on plastic sheeting, this one is positioned on being chemical-free and quiet: the listing calls out that it skips vinyl, PVC, phthalates and fire retardants. That matters for buyers sensitive to off-gassing or plastic odor from cheaper protectors. The wide 6 to 20 inch depth range also lets one design fit more mattress types than a single fixed pocket size would.
- Queen 60 x 80 inch, fits 6-20 inch depth
- 100 percent waterproof barrier
- Cotton terry top surface
- GreenGuard Gold certified, lab tested
Who it's for
Buyers who want a protector for a deep queen mattress and are concerned about vinyl smell or chemical content will get the most from this one. Anyone who just needs the cheapest possible waterproof cover may not need the certification.
Pros and cons
- Fits mattresses 6 to 20 inches deep
- Cotton terry top, no vinyl or PVC
- GreenGuard Gold certified materials
- Terry fabric takes longer to dry than thin covers
- Fitted skirt style needs the mattress fully stripped to install
Performance notes
The barrier is a waterproof layer bonded beneath a pure cotton terry surface, so moisture is wicked at the top while staying blocked from the mattress. The stretchable skirt is what lets one design cover mattresses from 6 up to 20 inches deep, rather than needing a different size per depth. SureGuard backs the construction with independent lab testing and GreenGuard Gold certification for material safety.
