Overview
This is BIC's four-pack of Classic Edition multi-purpose lighters, each with a long metal wand for reaching grills, fireplaces, and candles without getting fingers near the flame. It suits anyone who wants a no-fuss backup lighter stashed in the kitchen, by the fire pit, or in a camping bag.
BIC built its name on stick lighters that just work, and this pack leans on that reputation rather than novelty features. The main design choice is the extended metal wand, which trades pocket size for reach into deep candle jars and grill interiors. It is not refillable, so each lighter is used until its fuel runs out and then replaced.
- Long metal wand keeps hands away from the flame
- Child-resistant safety catch on every lighter
- Four lighters per pack for multiple locations
- Undergoes more than 50 manufacturing quality checks
Who it's for
Good for households that keep a lighter by the grill, fireplace, or candle shelf and want something that lights on the first try without fiddling. Less suited to anyone who wants a refillable or pocket-sized option, since these are disposable and sized for reach rather than portability.
Pros and cons
- Long metal wand reaches deep grills and candle jars
- Consistent flame reported across repeated uses
- Easy one-finger ignition despite the safety catch
- Four lighters cover kitchen, grill, and camping gear at once
- Safety button feels stiff to some users
- Priced higher than warehouse-club multi-packs
- Not refillable once fuel runs out
Performance notes
The long metal wand is the functional core: it keeps the flame away from your hand while reaching into deep fireplaces, tall candle jars, and grill interiors.
