Overview
A homeowner adding a gas fireplace to a living room gets a vented unit with millivolt ignition and a louvered front. A burner and a log set are included, and the painted metal box is black.
A vented design, B-Vent, sends combustion out through a flue, and millivolt ignition makes lighting simple and independent of house power. Contemporary styling suits a living room. Installation specifics are not covered in the listing.
Who it's for
Owners who already have, or are planning, a B-Vent flue and natural gas supply for a living room fireplace. Anyone without a flue path, or on propane, should look at a different type.
Pros and cons
- Millivolt ignition, no house power
- Louvered front, contemporary style
- Burner and log included
- Lifetime warranty listed
- Needs a B-Vent flue
- Natural gas only
- Installation requirements not listed
Performance notes
The burner heats the room through the louvered front while combustion gases exit through the B-Vent flue. Heat output sets how much warmth reaches the room, and the chamber depth sets the footprint it needs. Installation clearances are not in the listing.
