Graco Benton 5-in-1 Convertible Crib

Overview

The Graco Benton is a wood convertible crib that starts as a standard crib and later converts into a toddler bed, daybed, and full-size bed, with GREENGUARD Gold certification for lower indoor chemical emissions.

Graco licenses its nursery furniture to Storkcraft, which builds the Benton from pine and wood composites in a plain, classic profile meant to blend into most nursery styles rather than stand out. The crib ships as the base unit only; the toddler guardrail and the full-bed conversion kit are separate purchases, so budget for those later stages if you plan to use all five configurations.

• 5-in-1 conversion: crib, toddler bed, daybed, full bed
• Adjustable mattress base with 4 height positions
• Built from pine and wood composites
• 1-year limited warranty from Storkcraft

Who it's for

Fits parents who want a single crib to carry a child from infancy through a full-size bed without buying a new frame at each stage. Less suited to anyone who wants every conversion piece included in one box or a bolder, non-traditional look.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

The adjustable mattress support base has four height settings, so the mattress starts high for newborn access and drops as the baby learns to sit and stand. Assembly takes about 30 minutes with two people, per the manufacturer, and the frame later accepts a toddler guardrail, then full-bed rails, to carry the same frame through each stage without new hardware for the sides.
