Overview
NaturVet Tear Stain Plus Lutein is a soft chew supplement built around cranberry extract, marshmallow root and Oregon grape root, with lutein added for eye support, sold in a 70-count container.
The listing's category label of Eye Care fits the product's purpose better than one internal attribute field that mislabels the item type entirely, so title and ingredient list are the reliable guide here. The seller's own attribute data lists the target species as cat only, even though the product title names both dogs and cats, which is worth checking against the current listing before ordering for a dog.
- 70 soft chews per container
- Formulated with cranberry extract, marshmallow root and Oregon grape root
- Lutein included for eye support
- Title lists it for dogs and cats
Who it's for
Owners dealing with visible tear staining around a pet's eyes who want a chew-form supplement rather than a topical wipe. Anyone needing a guaranteed dog-specific formula should confirm species labeling on the current listing first, given the mismatch in the seller's own data.
Pros and cons
- Combines cranberry, marshmallow root and Oregon grape root
- Soft chew format for easy daily dosing
- Large 70-count supply per container
- Average rating of 3.8 trails other products in this batch
- Seller's species data lists cats only despite the title naming dogs too
Performance notes
Tear stain chews of this type generally work by supporting normal drainage and reducing compounds that discolor fur below the eyes, using cranberry extract, marshmallow root and Oregon grape root as the core botanicals, with lutein layered in for general eye health. Results typically depend on consistent daily feeding over several weeks rather than a quick fix.
