Overview
Gliding around a public rink is what the Riedell Emerald skate is made for, as a white recreational figure boot for kids. The listing gives only the size, weight and a stainless steel material, with no notes on the boot or blade.
A known skate maker and a recreational design point toward an entry skate for lessons and open skating. Little else is listed, so fit, ankle support and blade type all need checking before buying.
Who it's for
Suited to children trying figure skating for fun or in beginner classes. Kids working on advanced jumps need a higher level boot and blade.
Pros and cons
- Made for recreational kids skating
- Stainless steel construction listed
- White classic figure skate look
- Boot and blade details not listed
- Single size per listing
- Sharpening state unstated
Performance notes
How a figure skate performs comes down to boot stiffness, blade profile and fit at the heel, none of which the listing describes. A snug youth fit with laces tied firmly across the ankle governs control on the ice.
