Overview
A 40 pound bag of 100% natural hardwood pellets in an apple blend, made without added flavors, glues or scent sprays, sized for pellet grills and smokers.
Pit Boss binds these pellets using the wood's own natural juices rather than an added glue, which the brand frames as the reason for a cleaner burn.
- 100% natural hardwood, apple blend
- 40 lb bag sized for pellet grills and smokers
- No artificial flavors, glues or scent sprays
- Natural wood juices bind the pellets, no added glue
Who it's for
Suits pellet grill and smoker owners who want a milder wood flavor for chicken, pork or turkey rather than a strong mesquite or hickory profile. Less relevant to anyone already committed to a specific proprietary pellet blend for their smoker brand.
Pros and cons
- Mild, sweet apple flavor suited to pork and poultry
- Low dust reported compared to other brands
- Consistent burn and steady temperatures on long cooks
- No added flavors, glues or scent sprays
Performance notes
The pellets bind through the wood's natural juices under compression rather than an added glue, which several users linked to low dust in the bag and steady, consistent burning through long cooks including overnight sessions.
