Overview
A preschool art table or a restaurant booth is where these Crayola Twistables help most, since there are no paper labels to peel and nothing to sharpen. Twisting the end of the plastic barrel pushes out fresh color.
Plastic barrels stop the snapping and peeling that wrecks a box of regular crayons. Twist-up action means cleaner hands. The listing does not say they are washable, so clothing stains are a risk.
Who it's for
Preschoolers and young kids who color often will get more life from twist barrels than paper-wrapped crayons. Parents worried about stains should look for a set labeled washable.
Pros and cons
- Never need sharpening
- No paper labels to peel
- Barrel protects the crayon
- Washability not stated
- Barrels can be over-twisted
- Color names not listed
Performance notes
The plastic barrel supports the wax so it resists snapping under heavy pressure. Twisting advances only as much as needed, which reduces waste. Over-twisting can push the crayon out too far, where it can break.
