Overview
Kitchen windows, bathroom mirrors and sketchbooks all become canvases with OOLY Smooth Stix. The buttery gel crayons glide on smooth surfaces, blend into watercolor with the included wet brush and wipe off glass with water.
One set that draws, paints and cleans up easily gives kids and adults lots of ways to create. Gel is soft, so marks can smudge before they dry, and tips wear faster than wax crayons.
Who it's for
Kids and grown-ups who enjoy painting effects and decorating windows get a versatile set. Teachers who want precise, smudge-free lines should keep wax crayons.
Pros and cons
- Draws on glass and paper
- Watercolor blending with brush
- Wipes off smooth surfaces
- Twist-up, no sharpening
- Soft gel can smudge
- Tips wear faster than wax
- Age guidance only in title
Performance notes
The soft gel lays down rich color with little pressure, which suits small hands but wears the stick faster. Water dissolves the pigment, giving watercolor washes on paper and easy cleanup on glass.
