Overview
This mat is built specifically around the Wahoo KICKR ecosystem, sized to anchor a smart trainer, spin bike or yoga mat in one spot. Water resistant top layer sheds sweat and spilled bottles, with a beveled edge that stays flush to the floor.
This mat carries a premium price mostly because of the Wahoo branding and ecosystem fit, not because the material itself is unusual among trainer mats. Buyers coming from a different trainer brand may find similar function in a cheaper generic mat.
- Water resistant surface sheds sweat and spills
- Anti slip texture holds trainer and rider in place
- Noise insulating material for shared living spaces
- Compatible with the KICKR CLIMB, HEADWIND and DESK accessories
Who it's for
Indoor cyclists running a Wahoo KICKR or similar smart trainer on hardwood or tile who want to protect the floor and dampen vibration noise. Also useful under a yoga mat or for general cross training in a shared living space.
Pros and cons
- Keeps a trainer from sliding during hard efforts
- Wipes clean of sweat in seconds
- Noticeably reduces noise transmitted through floors
- No noticeable odor after unboxing
- Only sold in one size
- Costs more than generic trainer mats
- Photos show blue branding some units lack
Performance notes
The anti slip surface keeps a stationary bike or trainer from creeping during hard efforts, and the water resistant top layer wipes clean of sweat without soaking through.
