Overview
The Old Town Discovery 119 is a solo recreational canoe at 11 feet 9 inches, the shortest of the Discovery models covered here.
Built for one paddler, the 119's shorter length trades cargo and passenger room for easier solo handling and transport, which is typically the draw of a solo recreational canoe over a tandem design.
- 11 ft 9 in overall length
- Solo rated capacity
- Old Town Discovery model line
Who it's for

Pros and cons
- Solo sizing is easier to carry and load
- Shortest length of the Discovery models here
- No room for a second paddler or passenger

Performance notes
At 11 feet 9 inches, the 119 is built around one paddler, which generally makes it lighter to carry and easier to maneuver than the longer 2 and 3 person Discovery models, at the cost of passenger and cargo space.
