Overview
Shipping with two paddles included, the Lifetime Kodiak is a 13-foot canoe sized for one or two people on calm lakes and slow rivers. Its shorter length and molded plastic construction make it lighter and easier to carry than longer touring canoes.
The included paddles remove one extra purchase for a first-time buyer, and the shorter 13-foot length points to an entry-level or single-paddler boat rather than a family hauler.
- 13-foot overall length
- Two paddles included
- Lifetime Kodiak model
Who it's for
Solo paddlers or pairs wanting a light, easy-to-carry canoe for calm lakes and ponds, and buyers who'd rather not source paddles separately. Less suited to groups of three or anyone needing serious cargo capacity.
Pros and cons
- Two paddles included, no separate purchase needed
- Lighter and easier to carry at 13 feet
- Shorter length limits cargo room versus longer canoes
- Not built for three paddlers or heavy loads
Performance notes
At 13 feet, the Kodiak is shorter than the touring and larger recreational canoes in this lineup, which keeps its weight down and makes solo loading and carrying more practical. That same shortness trims top speed and cargo room compared with 15 to 17 foot boats, so it suits short paddles more than long-distance trips.
