Overview
The Focal DOME10FB is an in-ceiling, in-wall, and satellite speaker rated for wired connection, with both ceiling and wall mounting options in a black finish.
The DOME10FB's ability to mount in a ceiling, in a wall, or stand as a satellite speaker makes it a flexible choice for a distributed or surround setup where speaker placement is constrained by the room. At 17 by 15.25 by 9.75 inches, it is sized more like an architectural speaker enclosure than a small satellite, so installers should confirm the cutout or mounting space before buying.
- In ceiling, in wall, and satellite mounting
- Wired connectivity
- Ceiling and wall mount hardware
- Black finish
Who it's for
Custom home theater or whole room audio installs where flush ceiling or wall mounting is needed. Not suited to buyers wanting a compact bookshelf style satellite speaker.
Pros and cons
- Mounts in ceiling, in wall, or as a satellite speaker
- Ceiling and wall mount hardware included per listing
- Focal brand engineering
- Wired only, no wireless option
- Listed dimensions suggest a larger footprint than a compact satellite speaker
Performance notes
Being wired rather than wireless, the speaker depends on a run to an amplifier or AV receiver rather than a network or Bluetooth connection. Its dual mounting hardware for ceiling and wall placement is what allows the same speaker to serve different roles in a distributed audio layout.
