Overview
A living room TV of mid-size and up is the match for this VIZIO sound bar, which pairs with a wireless subwoofer you can place anywhere in the room. Bluetooth streams music from a phone, and Dolby and DTS processing handle TV sound.
Adding a wireless sub gives TV shows and music the low end that a TV's own speakers lack. It is a basic setup with no Wi-Fi streaming or surround speakers.
Who it's for
Apartments and family rooms where dialogue and bass need a lift suit this set. Movie buffs wanting immersive formats should look at a surround system.
Pros and cons
- Wireless sub places freely
- DTS TruVolume evens out volume jumps
- Bluetooth music streaming
- Wireless remote included
- No Wi-Fi streaming
- No surround or height channels
- Output power figure unclear
Performance notes
Bass comes from the separate wireless sub, whose placement in the room shapes how even it sounds. TruVolume smooths jumps between shows and ads, while the bar's drivers set dialogue clarity.
