Sharp 12-Digit Commercial Dual Power Desktop Calculator

Overview

A bookkeeper, office clerk or small shop owner gets a slim commercial calculator with a twelve digit LCD, a memory function and a markup key. The body is a gray and black plastic case in an adding-machine layout.

Memory and markup keys make quick work of running totals and markup changes at a counter. The slim body leaves desk space free. One limitation is power: the title says dual power while the spec lists battery powered, so the exact source is unclear.

Who it's for

Clerks, bookkeepers and small business owners adding columns of figures will use this regularly. A slim body suits a crowded desk. People needing trigonometry, loan formulas or tax functions should check a different model.

Pros and cons

Performance notes

The memory key stores a running figure while other sums are worked out, and the markup key adds a percentage to a base figure in one step. A slim case needs little desk space, and the adding-machine layout puts the keys in familiar positions.
