Overview
An overload safety shutoff protects the motor of this Earthwise corded chipper. A slim body and rear wheels make it easy to move around the yard.
Preparing debris for compost takes little effort with a slim, wheeled body, and the motor protects itself when overloaded. The limits are the branch thickness and the plant types it cannot process.
Who it's for
Homeowners tidying sticks and small yard debris for composting who have an outlet nearby. Anyone with thick branches or fibrous waste needs a more capable shredder.
Pros and cons
- Chips sticks up to rated thickness
- Overload shutoff with reset button
- Slim body with rear wheels
- Collection bin per the title

Performance notes
The motor chips sticks and woody debris up to the rated thickness. When it is overloaded the machine shuts off to protect the motor, and a reset button beside the power button restores operation. Fibrous plants and leaves are outside what it is meant to handle.
