Overview
Not a light garden shredder, this MechMaxx B150 is a heavy gas chipper with a ZONSEN 420cc engine and an electric start. Four wheels move it around a work site, and the stated capacity covers branches up to a sizeable diameter.
Reason to buy: a big engine, a larger diameter limit and electric start take the strain out of heavy brush. Limitation: the listing is mostly a title and dimensions, and the weight and size need space and a way to move it.
Who it's for
Landowners and small crews who clear brush and thick trimmings and have space for a large machine get capacity and electric start. Households with only light pruning will find it far too large to store or move.
Pros and cons
- Large diameter limit
- Large gas engine
- Heavy build for steady work
- Very heavy and large
- Feed and blade details not listed
- Hitch or towing details unstated
- Gas engine needs fuel and upkeep
Performance notes
A large engine drives the cutting mechanism, so thicker material feeds with less stalling than on small machines. Branches near the stated limit still need steady feeding, and engine care and blade condition matter as much as horsepower.
