Overview
The Outset 76226 is a compact mesh grill tool finished in black, measuring about 4 x 7.5 x 5 inches and weighing 0.6 pounds. Its small mesh construction points to a food or wood chip holder used directly over grill heat rather than a long handled utensil.
Small mesh grill tools like this one are typically set on the grate itself, letting heat and smoke pass through the weave while containing loose items such as chips or small food pieces. The compact size here fits that pattern rather than a full-size grilling utensil.

Who it's for
This suits grill owners looking for a small mesh accessory to use over direct heat, such as for holding food pieces or wood chips. It is not for anyone needing large-capacity gear, given its compact size.
Pros and cons
- Compact size fits a portion of the grate
- Mesh design lets heat and smoke through
- Lightweight at 0.6 lb
- Small capacity limits how much it holds
- No handle length specified for reaching over heat
Performance notes
Mesh construction lets heat and smoke pass through freely, and the compact 4 x 7.5 x 5 inch size keeps it to a small portion of the grate rather than covering a full cooking zone.
