Overview
Scotts Wizz is a handheld, battery powered spreader for grass seed, fertilizer, weed control, salt and ice melt. EdgeGuard technology controls the throw near edges.
A hand-carried spreader avoids pushing a wheeled unit, and the many settings allow fine control of the rate. The small hopper means frequent refills on larger lawns, and the batteries needed are not described.
Who it's for
Homeowners with small yards who spread seed or fertilizer and want ice melt capability in winter. Large lawns call for a push or tow-behind model.
Pros and cons
- Handheld and battery powered
- Many rate settings
- EdgeGuard edge control
- Light enough to carry
- Small hopper area
- Battery type not described
- Warranty terms not spelled out
Performance notes
A battery-driven mechanism throws product in a broadcast pattern, and the setting dial meters how much leaves the hopper. EdgeGuard technology shapes the pattern near edges. Hopper size caps how much ground each fill covers.
